  • Petrosian was more than its predecessor for Kasparov in chess, he was also the predecessor of the Armenian nationality genius.

  • plaskett is wrong i think, spasskies style wasnt universal as fischer pointed out u could never tell if spassky was blundering a piece or did an amazing deep sacrifice.. its hard to tell what style but how he lost on his first encounter against petrosian, seems to suggest it wasnt universal. otherwise i think his progressin as player would have been more balancd. even so fischer would be an exeption judging from his early encounter against petrosiam, if that game on youtube is real
