On the last night of October
At the setting of the Sun
The Moon is hanging in the sky
For a night of fun
He's all dressed up in orange
And he cracks a crooked grin
A light is twinkling in his eye lit
By a candle from within
He frightens all the foxes
And silences the owls
The wolves are getting spooked
By the sound of their own howls
The Halloween moon
Will soon be knocking on your door
Be sure to have a treat for him
Or he'll be back once more
Or the Moon might play a trick on you
Although I don't know what
Maybe he'll throw an egg
Or perhaps an apricot
He'll liven up your city
From Tokyo to Rome
The Moon knows how to party
Until the stars go home!
And when the night is over
And the pumpkins put away
The moon will be hung over
For a week and a day
