A: Hey, Daniel!

D: Yes?

A: I have a few questions. Can you do me a favor?

D: Sure. My pleasure. Whats up?

A: I heard that the real estate market in China is booming. Is that true?

D: Right! My mom told me that the real estate she purchased last year has increased 50% in value.

A: Wow. How does that happen?

D: Its because of the expectation of continuing inflation. To prevent the currency and deposits from depreciation, more people choose to invest in real estate. The demand is larger than the supply, and thats how the real estate prices went up.

A: Of course. China is undergoing fast economic development and the value of Chinese currency is also expected to rise. To tell you the truth, I also want to invest in Chinese real estate. But I really dont want to travel all the way to China. The airfare is really high, and the flight takes so long. Though there is tons of information online, I just have no clue. I cant tell the difference. Do you have any suggestions?

D: Youve found the right person to ask! For my introsem, I am working on an online transaction platform designed for foreign investors interested in real estate investment in China. Once its established, you can have access to real estate market in China, the government policies, and finally make online transactions without travel!

A: Online transaction? Is that possible?

D: Why not? Ten years ago, have you ever thought about purchasing foreign goods online? Now ebay has made this possible. Online real estate transaction is feasible as long as the electronic commerce technologies improve and the regulations are established.

A: How can I trust your transaction system?

D: Alright. (shifts to a web portal of real estate) First, we will make sure that the online information is real and comprehensive, so that we can help you make the right investment decision,

A: Ok.

D: So in my platform, I will introduce the Credit checking system and legal counseling system to ensure the quality and safety of our sources. Meanwhile, we will set up a professional forum composed of real estate specialists, to help you analyze and decide the best real estate.

A:Yeah, I know these are easy to deal with. I have seen such information from other online platforms. But I just cant be convinced.

D: Not a problem. I will also introduce the online virtual display center. (show picture) You can view the details of the real estate online, and hire specialists to evaluate the real estate at the same time for further consideration. These specialists will analyze the surrounding environment, district planning, internal structure, etc.

A: Okay, even if I am satisfied with the real estate, what if the pricing is not reasonable? How can I make sure I dont pay more than needed?

D: I will introduce online evaluation system that invites notable accounting firms to do the asset evaluation, and invite insurance companies for assurance.

A: Then what? Can I transact online now?

D: Of course, then I will update the info to the real estate trading center, and then we can successfully make the online transaction. First the contract, then the payment.

A: Online payment? I am afraid that I cant trust that. To my notice, to invest in a small housing estate in China requires at least 500 thousand dollars. Is online payment reliable?

D. Of course. We will invite banks for third party payment system. Surely, I understand your concern, the bottleneck we will encounter is how to ensure the safety of online payment. So far we can avoid such problems by a monitoring system.

D: Sure. Bye!
