I am not a big fan of Israels political system.On what legal basis can you ban someone from running for office by simply labelling them "racist"?
It is quite a nakedly vicious attempt by both Likud and Labor to curb his influence.

Dershowitz was so confident in 1985 that most of the Jewish community was opposed to the views expressed by Rav Kahane, but today he could not say the same thing. The merits of his ideas have proven the test of time more than the ideas held at that time by Dershowitz and other liberals. We Jews see that Oslo was not a "peace process" but rather a death pact, and that the time has come to abandon such a false path and the false assumptions at its base. Israel must be first for Israel.

It is sad to see those that run - or ruin rather - Israel today so blind to their own professed enlightened, progressive and so-called 'multicultural' theories that they beg their own demise. Europe struggles now because of 60+ years of catering to blind "social progress" of opening their borders to all those that come from cultures and faiths absolutely contradictory and intolerant toward their own social norms. Kahane was right and is Geert Wilders.
