  • WD-40 for 1001 purposes.

  • @blaknoizee what you need for this to work is a substance that is still explosively flammable after being on a surface for several seconds. The only thing that works is starter fluid. Judging by the way this stuff the guy is using acts, it is starter fluid

  • @JathTech thats y it worked huh

  • Ifim right, its not filling, just resealing the tire (or resetting the bead?)

  • WD 40 doesn't work. it's only flammable as it first leaves the can, once its settled onto a surface it is no longer flammable. I tried using break cleaner too, but it burns too slowly. makes an awesome fireball though.

  • does this actually work? i mean does this do anything to the tire or is it fine. im goin to try this sson :D

  • It's funny to see comments like "it was probably starter fluid", while the title says "WD-40"

I don't know if WD-40 is so good for doing this, I suppose it is aggressive to the rubber, because it's a mineral oil-based lubricant. But very well done! I would really like to try it once by myself.

The best stuff for putting a tyre back on in my opinion, is Brake-cleaner and easy start (both contains ether). It burns without any residues, while WD-40 leaves a lot of oily, greasy backlog and soot.
