Cool, landings are pretty hard in that game if you set it to realistic, and I play it almost 100% realism apart from the external views.

Btw do the Me262's engines catch fire when you increase power rapidly? coz it always happens to me and I use the X52 throttle!

Yes, they do catch fire. I use an old MS Sidewinder.

@Landoforpresident to land ! you have to lower the flaps as it reduces the stall speed !

@ZeppiilHafi almost all (turbine/jet)engines catch fire while too fast too much power

The 262 lights up when you first turn the engine on...atleast for me, once the plane has been running awhile I cant light the engines on fire if I try......I sometiems pull the throttle uip and down really fast and it doesnt light up.

why did not you set landing flap??

In reality the jet engine were very sensitive.............throttle opening MUST be gently done........SPEED was the planes advantage - but it couldnt accelerate rapidly, nor turn tightly.......to fly to its advantage...fly fast and high and bounce fighters - hammer them with you 4 cannons -then run like hell - but dont dogfight

wait is 1946 an add on to another il2 sturmovik game and can you just download 1946 off the computer or do you need a disc

heh i was playing big furball with ai managed to shoot down 2 of the planes [ai got the rest] landed succesfully was taxing off the runway and the engine caught fire it happened when i put the power up to 20% too quick.
