I did a series of candid interviews for an activism project in my Women & Gender Studies class last semester. Hopefully this will shed light on how misunderstood the disease is. My project revolved around bringing light to the MAC AIDS Fund because it's a cause I truly believe in. Please support MAC's VIVA GLAM line whenever you can. 100% of the proceeds from the lipsticks and lipglasses in the range go to the MAC AIDS Fund which goes directly to men, women and children living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.

  • Wow it really upsets me how uneducated these people are for the most part on HIV. Did they not get sexual education in high school? We started getting sex-ed courses in 5th grade! How can you ONLY think HIV is transmitted through blood?? No people. Most people who have contracted it is because of sexual contact, not from coming in contact with a person who has had a cut, or a blood transfusion. Getting it from a transfusion RARELY happens anymore.

  • i know this is bad to say but you picked a small sample of people where only the black people knew of someone with the virus.... :S im not being racist but im sure in not the only one who noticed that

  • Oh dang, these people need makeovers really badly :(

  • I really enjoyed this video, by the way.

  • How does this explain how mis-understood the disease is? These students seem to have a pretty good understanding of AIDS so I'm not sure what you mean by that?

  • very well done!

  • How about that??

  • this was a great video and I think there should be more awareness because this is definitely an ailment that is completely misunderstood.
