You may recall seeing Candice earlier this year in the 4th Songwriter Showcase: Original songs written and performed by Cal Poly Pomona students and alumni. (Thursday, February 26, 2009, 8:00 PM) along with Sherinda Bryant, Kateri Lirio. And The Polyphonics (Craig Tsurumoto and Jeanette Lawler). Proceeds from the concert go to scholarships for Music Industry Studies students. Again, Good stuff!

Isn't it wonderful when the Human Spirit shines through? It's great when the combination of words and notes is combined with Inspiration and produces things like this. This is what LIVE JAZZ performances are and why live jazz should be supported. It's not someone standing on the sidewalk with a battery powered black box that sounds like the Tonight Show band.

I want to thank You, Itscalang, and others that have made this Cal Poly Jazz Band's Highest Rated video to date (over 5 ratings) and fastest to 500 views (should do it this week).

Considering that this video is not from a Big Jazz Festival (like the UNC Greeley Festival, CO) or have a Big Celebrity Artist draw (like Bill Churchville, Stockton Helbing, Jeff Clayton, etc.) it is an example of GRASSROOTS GROWTH.
