  • @Alaynna... I hope you enjoy using this video. I was uncertain. Of my position on this matter prior to researching this topic, however once our professor mandated that we had to leave out a religious argument side it was easy. Based on the human right aspect alone I was in favor. Any questions feel free to ask.

  • @emsteffi.... I understand ur point here and I agree with u also... Like I stated previously this video was not posted bc I am one who fights to have it legalized; I simply made this video for my English research project and used many photos and such from here so I thought it would only be right to upload it. Also if it could help others with anything Similar to my case, then that's also a purpose of why this video is here. Thank u for your comment.

  • The problem with the Hippocratic oath is it is VERY outdated and needs to be updated. The Hippocratic oath also states that a gall bladder or a uterus is not to be removed either; but those surgeries are praticly done as an "outpatient" status now days and is done hundreds of times per day all over the world!!

  • Thank u Don!! I enjoyed outing this together and my professor is using it in his other classes as a mock demo... Lived researching this... Was difficult for me at first but after he advised us NOT to take a religious stand the decision of which position I took was easy... Hope this helps!!

  • Just like emsteffi I think that 'loneliness' or 'loss of independence' are no reason for assisted suicide. What is, is the dear wish to end one's life in dignity. And sometimes there is help needed for the last step. Switzerland has a good model: Do everything possible in palliative medicine - but let the person be in charge of his/her life - and its duration.

  • I am using this for a huge project. it is the best ive found so far!!! and i think assisted sucide should be legal!!!

  • I'm sorry but "loneliness" and "public humiliation" are not reasons to commit suicide. Those are social issues and are easily dealt with with therapy and support. A lot of teenagers feel "lonely" and are bullied in school or face ridicule every day and want to kill themselves for it. Does this mean we should allow them to?

  • @HLICommunications

Yeah, sorry, but I won't be supporting pedophilia. NAMBLA has been around since the 70s and have gotten nowhere, and they won't either.

By the way, I read up more on it, and I call mostly bull on the claim.

Hell, the only ones writing about it are people against euthanasia. A lack of neutrality gets my attention, and I found good sources against it anyways.

Hell, it really isn't different from people who yelled that abortion would lead to "infanticide on demand".

  • @britt12171 So whenever we find something inconvenient in a promise or oath (eg "Do no harm"), we just rewrite the oath? My, that's convenient. And I'm surprised to see that you seem to think it is "outdated" for a doctor to promise to "do no harm."

I'll take an outdated doctor who promises to do no harm - over an "up to date" doctor who promises nothing, or just changes his mind after the promise so he can be "up to date" - any day of the week.

  • @Hjernespreng OK, I can see we're not really getting anywhere, so you can have the last word. 20 years ago gay marriage was considered impossible. It is now legal, and polygamy is almost legal. You have no argument against the next expansion of legalized "marriage", even if you find it appalling. You'll support it when it comes up. Same with asst suicide and euthanasia. People are already being killed by the thousands and progressives explain it away or refuse to read about it.

  • @HLICommunications

wait, since when did these people supposedly do it out of "justice?"

    My argument never changed.

And I'm saying public opinion because that is what really matters.

Just because there is murder it doesn't mean murder becomes socially acceptable. people will not, and are not, tolerating family being, literally, murdered.

Euthanasia should still not be outlawed, that is ridiculous.

  • @HLICommunications "These are MURDERS happening, not a change in public opinion". Great - we agree. But that's different than the argument you started out with. You're now defending the ground of "public opinion", whatever that means. Opinion will change, like it always does. But did you read the stories? Legality doesn't matter if laws are not enforced, and the laws will soon catch up with the "progressives" who go beyond the law in the name of "justice."
