  • I'm standing up for the public when I say that cbt today is delivered by undertrained, under experienced, job hungry graduates who are really providing toy town services. Nobody deserves telephone 'therapy' or short term sessions in the nhs. Its an insult to the human race. Public rise up...

Ps evidence base. So case studies aren't evidence then? Neuroscience and attachment theory show that babyhood is crucial for development of self. It takes how many hours for neural networks to connect? How important is emotion to this process? So how important is trust and long term working with a client?

  • Transference or the unconscious. Yeah right you must be really clever. Ever heard of 'schema' or counter transference. Wise up and get some personal therapy. There's a long road ahead... ;0)

Actually many professionals are trained in cbt, like myself but, are also trained in several other therapies. It's gives a wider view. And also have years of clinical experience. You should know that It's not the therapy that makes any difference but the time and skill you have in creating therapeutic alliance. Ps There is nothing nonsensical about attachment theory or psychoanalytic psychotherapy. That's just your ignorance and conditioning talking. There's no truth in defenses, tran

  • @leapsplashafrog Cbt is evidence based, unlike the nonsensical psychoanalysis. You are quite unethical if you won't use evidence based practice to treat clients. Disgraceful. Try reading the peer reviewed research instead of embracing conspiracy theory nonsense about pharmaceutical companies.

  • @leapsplashafrog Psychoanalysis?? Talk about obsolete...you're still clinging to that nonsense? Guess empiricism isn't important, huh?

  • @clinicalpsychologist

There is nothing unprofessional about speaking truthfully or stating fact. I suggest your comment maybe more unprofessional, especially if you work without integrity. The proliferation of cbt represents a cheapening of your profession, mental health services and the human condition. Economists now run the world, control the FTSE, politics and dictate to so called professionals what is a mental health via pharmaceutically funded research to dictate so called evidence based

  • @leapsplashafrog- very non-professional statement, Mr. Frog

  • I would love to see the rest of this program.

  • Made more sense when he was a psychoanalyst
