@branboom I think the same thing about many great videos with inspirational content... its often the frivolous and trivial that goes viral and gains a great audience... the great tragedy of our times, and a reflection of the current state of the human condition, towards its lower end of aspiration, and most base desires and ambition.

Oh, and by the way, as you meant to get personal: I'm an actor, musician and writer, so (if I've any talent at all) I'd say deep emotions are pretty much around me all the time.

I guess I've no problems with deep emotions, but I may be wrong, who knows.
Anyway, as I said before, there are many TED talks about much more important topics. These other talkers are also much more passionate - without crying.
When comparing philantropy with the ultimate effects of global climate disruption, I must say this woman is crying for petty bussiness. Philantropy is an important matter nonetheless, but is not as far reaching as the death of millions.
