That MAY BE~~Screaming Jay Hawkins was NO WHERE NEAR as DYNAMIC as Lord Sutch! At least, as far as PERFORMANCE was/is concerned! Jay Hawkins had QUITE a BARITONE VOICE, but Lord Sutch CLEARLY had the EDGE with PERFORMANCE!

He didn't 'take' it, he was inspired by it.

i believe the B52's got a lot of there catchy ska type riffs from psych/rockobilly stuff like the Cramps, who inevitably were highly influenced by S. Jay Hawkins and S. Lord Sutch...i've only recently come across this guy I, think he's amazing i want to hear more of this stuff in today's music. Dark, gruesome and catchy it's awesome!!!

Listening to THIS track makes me wonder if he--Lord Sutch had SOME influence on The B52s. The similarity between THIS and 'Rock Lobster'--Well, I NOTICED IT FIRST THING!!!!!!!

Screaming Lord Sutch was a GOOD 10,15, or even 20 years AHEAD OF HIS TIME!
