This movie is about a story of HWANG Jin Yi played by Song Hye-kyo (송혜교), the most renowned courtesan of the Chosun Dynasty, and her love affair with a male servant named Nom-yi played by Yoo Ji-tae (유지태).

I love Song Hye Kyo but I still prefer Ha Ji Won's Hwang Jini.
Well, it's not like her acting's not good, but this role just fits Ji Won more...

When I picture how Hwang Jin Yi look like with her strong attitude and her spellbinding beauty, I picture Ha Ji Won rather than Song Hye Kyo. Ha Ji Won was born to play Hwang Jin Yi. Just like how Linda Carter was born to play wonder woman.

jini is a great figure for women however this movie did poor job. it was much more accurate than the dumb drama version however unsatisfactory!
