we have these guys around..they hammer holes on the junction box on the phone lines, fill them with nuts and other treasures, then when it rains, the water swells up their 'stash' and our phones go dead...they also hammer on the gutters, satellite dish, and the front and back doors...my grand daughter calls them 'knocking birds'..
