Haha, thanks for all of these. @UnemployedZebra: I did a few drafts before and got them wrong but always did it with a marker. @TheOllyj : I agree, choice of music wasn't a stroke of genius. @beathatdrum : hehe, would be much easier indeed! Although the annoying part is cutting it out. That takes ages.

@iluvSh0Rt1 Thank you so much ! Yep pretty much, just cut out the dark parts (it takes a lot of patience).
@fullysick3 try something thinner than cardboard (like a clear plastic sheet or thin card paper) it will be more precise.
Also, a tip for fixing your stencil to whatever you are panting on: use 3M paper mount, it applies a light adhesive like on post it notes so that the stencil sticks to the wall properly.
