Its good to see how deep the traditions are in the Navy. This brings me pride to have served onboard the Connie, Nimitz and the Lincoln. Im sorry for your loss.

My father, World War Two hero in the British Royal Navy, who died young (48 years old) because of what happened to him in the war, loved the Americans, and particularly the US Navy. He also loved the hymn in this video.

I served with your son at both Submarine Base Groton CT in the First LT division and on the USS Theodore Roosevelt (we were in different divisions) and my heart goes out to you, him, and your family. MM2 Cain, I'm sorry you had to go through this, but atleast he got the 1 honor any sailor could wish for.

That was such a lovely ceremony. The Roosevelt was my home for two years and I hope I could be so lucky to buried from her when my time comes.

Thank you. My son was deployed on board the Roosevelt at that time and is also in that video participating in his Grandfathers burial. They enjoyed their visit to Portsmouth very much.
