@GpcHindy Do you see any wires plugged into the phone? It is wireless because the component that you work with (the phone) doesn't need to be plugged in. Hence the term wireless. The phone wirelessly charges off the base station. I don't see how you can not call it wireless. Surely there are no wires to plug into the phone.

@GpcHindy Theres always going to be wires somewhere, the idea is that you can just drop the iphone onto the dock and it will start charging without having to plug it in.
