Played for a Maundy Thursday service. The flute was the farthest instrument from the mic, and there were people very nearby so unfortunately it's a little noisy. Sure is a beautiful piece, though.

  • What kind of flute is it ?

  • @erisYO This is my backup flute (my Powell was in for an overhaul) an ancient Gemeinhardt student model. Probably dates from the 50's, as near as I can tell.

  • nice interpretation ;-)

  • Thanks, Bilbo. There is so much feeling and beauty in this piece, it always leaves me feeling like there's still a way to go to do it justice. Nice to hear that maybe I've come part of the way.

  • @silverfluteplayer - thanks very much! Please keep on listening to it! :-)

  • Beautiful job, Court. I have listened to it 3 times now, and it seems to get better each time!!!

  • You're quite right. It's a shame, though, if that's all you can hear.

  • lots of mistakes, both in flute and piano parts.

  • Just lovely! I am going to hear this at the Diz Concert Hall in LA on Fri (July 10th) as well as a 400 or so choir singing Beethoven's 9th. Can't wait!

  • Very nice you did a good job even with the sounds.
