Choseishin Gransazer Knuckle Riser 超星神グランセイザー ナックルライザー

Today I am reviewing the DX Knuckle Riser from the 2003 Toho series Choseishin Gransazer.

The Knuckle Riser is a Henshin Device used by the 12 Characters from the series. In addition to being a Henshin Device, it has five other modes. Henshin Mode, Choseishin Mode, Boarding Mode, Arms Mode, Sazer Gear Mode, and Communication Mode. Changing Modes is done by turning the dial in the middle to the appropriate icon.

The toy of the Knuckle Riser is pretty disappointing. I never had high hopes for this one, but as a predecesor to the Gekichanger from Gekiranger (in a vague way) it's size really prohibits it from being a decent collector's toy. Yes, I realize that it's made for children. Aside from size, the sounds are all pretty weak and fairly quiet. The lightshow is "meh". The spinning dial gem after you hit the knuckle is also pretty weak (it just doesn't feel right). Overall, i'm not a big fan of this toy, but i'm sure people out there are.
