This falco is bombsoldier, which is one of the really old school players who practically invented the way falco is played all over the world nowadays. From there, people just started updating their playing styles as time passed, which is NORMAL for almost any sport or game. Bombsoldier is the TEMPLATE for falco.

@loGanPG13 your comment is old, but I'm going to answer it anyways.
the SSB games are all really different. On the surface, they seem similar, but they really aren't at all.
People who play melee want the fast, competitive, and technical gameplay that brawl cannot offer. People don't necessarily play melee over brawl for the characters as much as they play it because they prefer the physics and competitive scene for SSBM. I could explain more if you still don't understand.

Bombsoldier was the first really techical Falco, and his style influenced the way Falco was (and is) played all over the world.
