* Be aware of your limits and those of other drivers. Stay focussed on your surroundings. * Dont make any sudden movements, and avoid accelerating too hard (acceleration should be gradual and moderate). Also avoid sudden braking and travelling at high speeds. * Leave more distance between your car and the one ahead. * To decrease the risk of sliding when going uphill, use a higher gear ratio than you would when travelling in dry weather.

  • Why heck do u wanna drive that fast

  • @KornelBerkes maybe in the countries where the streets are always cleaned from snow and ice it's ok to go with allseason tires but were i live there is a coat of 20 cm of snow and ice on the roads, with regular tires u would slide. Winter tires are a must for the winter season.

  • @bcatz454 or what stops you :p

  • @MinecraftAventures no problems....until you stop.

  • The stupidity of some people is just unbelievable... if you use regular tires all year long and they last for let's say 2 years, so in 4 years you use 2 sets of tires. By buying a set of winter tires and using them from november till march, would make your tires last 4 years, that means, you'd still need 2 sets in 4 years, only you'd have safer winter, cose one of those would be a set of winter tires. Plus in the US they cost 30% less than in Europe...

  • @cabbagesftw ... the only problem is, that winter tires doesn't mean tires for snow, but for winter conditions, like cold weather, or you think cold and wet roads are like wet roads in the summer? :)

  • @johnnyo032003 What do you mean by CO? Some short for a state or something? And as you might understand i am not from america and i drive my volvo 960 with regular manual transmission.

  • @12valvepower1 Not really. All wheel drive doesn't do much without these driving techniques. Did you not hear what he said about All Wheel Drive being able to skid too? You still need winter tires and driving control in an AWD car. I spun a Subaru Legacy in the snow once (of course I was trying to be a showoff at the time too but still...)

  • @Jimpank90 most cars these days do not have clutch pedals though, as everyone wants either an automatic so they don't have to learn to drive a stick or they want an automated manual (aka flappy paddle/dsg/dual clutch) so they don't have to fuss with a clutch pedal. Its very dangerous really, but I drive every winter in all season tires in a volvo. Of course I rarely see more than 3 inches of snow on the ground, if I was in CO I would have a set of winter tires.

  • When you loose grip with any car, lift off the gas and press down the clutch and parry the slide with the steering, as simple as that.
