Are you sure your Chinese Panda coins are not Volfram mixed? Rule of thumb nowadays: Dont trust anything Chinese-made. Period.

these are super expensive right now...

I started 2 yrs ago w/ the silver pandas. I fell on hard times and sold 6 two wks ago.
I have 06,08,09,and I'll probebly end up selling those too. I never realy looked into the history,I'd go w/my dad to a coin show and say wow a diff panda and I paid $24-30 dollars. Could you tell me if there are collecter coins like the US eagle? The eagles w/ a mint mark are colecter version,do the pandas have any kind of following like that.? Awsum set you have.Coin shows buy price 1/10 oz gold $169each

Where do you buy these? I would like to collect them but scared of buying counterfeit gold.
I collect these. I have probably 16-17 of the 1/10 ounce coins. I recently went into a coin shop and they had the elusive 1998 and a 2000. What is the current worth of a 1998 it's not sealed. I got it for spot plus 25. Thanks

@TheChiefSteel If the 1998 has no marks or scratches, its worth about $325 not sealed. In its original mylar pouch, the coin is worth about $425. Nice score at just melt + $25!!!

Hello, you seem to be an expert at these! I inherited a panda coin and I'm wondering how much its worth. I believe it is 1991 1/20 oz Gold Coin NGC MS-69. Whats unique about it is that it is in a gold bezel embellished with red and green gems. Some parts of the bezel have a silver color. Does this make the coin worth more or less?
GeoFly 1 year ago
@GeoFly NGC does not encapsulate altered coins. You do not have a 1991 gold 1/20th oz panda IN a bezel IN an NGC MS69 slab.

As with any coin, these can be bought from many places. Ebay is a decent place to buy these if you dont live near a coin shop. I buy from a variety of places.
