Monitor Lines

I Have this Problem With my computer .
It suddenly shows horizontal lines accross the monitor .
I am not sure if its a graphics card problem or a monitor or driver .
Here are my specs :

Inter Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66ghz
ASUS P5Q Motherboard
XFX GF 9600GT 650M 512MB DDR3 DUAL DVITVPCIE
4 Gb Transcend 800 mhz DDR2 Ram
1tb WD Hard disk
Cooler master 500w Pure power

If any one can tell me what is causing this problem ,
it would be really helpful

i just got that problem too while playing a game, except my problem is much worse than yours.

I found out the problem is the video card.

have you found out what is causing the problem with the graphics card . its not over heating for me . it just vanishes when i restart . hope its a driver problem and gets fixed soon .

i am having a problem with my computer can anyone help there are these lines but the lines are staying there just across one side of the screen to the other its weird

@noobsterxD try to boot ur system on safe mode and uninstall the drivers of your videocard after that restart on normal mode and install the drivers again be sure to download the lastest drivers hope this helps ;)

This only starts when i'm playing games for some reason... At first it just starts with those small lines, then the whole computer stops and i gotta restard.. It's freaking annoying.. If it's a driver problem, it's weird that it havent been fixed yet, because i had the same problems on the same computer a long time ago.. So.... Yeh..

I have this problem as well, I'm guessing it's the new nvidia drivers. I as well have 9600gt and the same monitor. Any clues?

i would be glad to have his problem. My laptop screen has horizontal lines if i move it slightly. and they freeze the computer completely unless it is in perfect position.

when you first boot up the computer without loading windows...do you still have those lines?

b/c if you do....then its not a driver problem.

But looks like your video card is still working because the Aero works,,, so maybe its a driver problem
