i served in fast co. norfolk,va for over 2 yrs 96-98. FIFTH platoon. at tht time there was only one fast company. the one and only Fleet Antiterrorist Security Team, Norfolk, VA. 5th platoon deployed to haiti, the middle east after the kobhar towers bombing, to new hampshire for a security mission, and back to the middle east in 1998. oorrahh. LONGOOD. ya'll know me.

BTW you cant request FAST. And contrary to popular belief you dont try out for it either anymore. SF contract you either go PRP or FAST. If you want good training hope you dont go PRP. Even though there is no try out, if you are an out of shape slob, or cant shoot, your gonna have a rough time.

Sign a security forces contract, and request FAST when you get to school. Dont go PRP unless you wanna guard a nuke for 2 years and get limited training. FAST was a good time. You get alot of good training, but dont expect to be operating like SEALS or Recon. You put alot of rounds down range, good schools offered to a lucky few. FAST is a site security bases unit, but are very good at what they do. 1F1 2001-2004....Semper Fi
