one im a diver and i will say this to 123johnson we do train that is so bogus to even say we dont okay its made up of conditioning also know as dry land practices board work, strong mental build and the ability to keep tight and perfect through the dive and in order to do that we work out lower and upper body abs to keep straight legs for board and arms for twist and as well as flexability we need gymnastics and ballet training

Grew up diving. LOVED IT! LOVED the 3 meter. I miss it so. Lived at the pool all summer. Was in the AAU. But was too tall for olympic trials. :( Don't care. still can at least do a front 1 and a half and not kill myself. :) Thanks for that. (Btw, I can do it free, pike or tuck)

i remember when i used to do it. i had sessions every day 4hours after schoold then at least one day during the weekend if it was saturday then 7hrs if sunday then 8hrs. at young age it was all building the body shape perfect for diving. you still got to have plenty of strenght to perform half of the dives and then there is acrobatics and gimnastics to help with the actual evolutions. it was hard but i loved every single second of it!!!

@Trashjack101 85% approach 15% technique and and all in all thats a workout

ughh I want Christina's hurdle!!
Do divers ever workout or is it all technique?

its all technique. we just do dives, and break them down on land. usually on mats.

@Trashjack101 Yes they do! Divers train mostly on their abs and lower body, unless you're a platform diver (which requires upperbody for handstand positions). Divers also use trampoline for their air sense as well as ballet (as an option). I can not believe that 123johnston said something like this.

im not an olympic diver, so i don't have the same training as they do. ive never had that type of training. i do gymnastics to help my air sense, but here in florida, we don't have much diving (except in larger cities such as ft. lauderdale, orlando, etc) so we don't have the facilities to do such training. im sorry to misinform you
