Why didn't Tommy worry about Jimmy wacking him to snatch his piece of the Lufthanza cut?
I mean, Tommy must have known the pool was going to be thinned out eventually.

Was it Jimmy's original intent to split the cut between him, Henry and Tommy, with him taking the largest chunk?

Or, did Jimmy feel that Henry and Tommy were solid partners and wouldn't be "stupid with the money?"

Jimmy loved Tommy D like a brother, and he knew Tommy wouldn't ask for any more than he recieved. Henry knew not to ask for anymore.

Jimmy was encouraged by Paulie and the Bosses of the family to start eliminating potential witnesses. But the main motive was greed. 5 mil is a lot divided amongst three people. Jimmy and Paulie ended-up with the lion share of the loot. There were quite a few people envolved in Lufthansa, almost all of them were killed.

It was that, their friendship, and Jimmy learned Tommy was being made right before he started planning the first round of murders. Jimmy didn't seem to care too much about killing made men (especially if they were asking him for money, natch), but Tommy was Jimmy's ticket into a more profitable circle in the mob.

He knew them when they were teens, prolly younger. And he knew they wouldnt be idiots with the money. And with Jimmy being all excited about Tommy being made. So i think they were really close partners, in crime that is.
