what I can't figure out about this story is that since those times humans have accomplished far more in building structures and heading towards a global society more people speak English as a first and/or second language today than ever before..........heck we even put men on the moon...................so why has God come down and destroyed our towers, smashed our satellites, scatter and confuse all of us again?

Because it is just a silly story written a long time ago. They didn't have the capabilities to build tall structures back then. Maybe the story was based on many failed attempts at building tall towers. They blamed god for them falling down.

Correct and I understand that.........but what is the excuse of a believer with a story like this that is in the bible and therefore is part of the word of god.........

How do they justify such non action on the part of God today since they don't buy the reason you just gave........

Oh, just peruse the comments on this video and you'll find out. The one I remember is that we don't build skyscrapers and satellites today to get to heaven. But, that doesn't make sense as god would've known that humans back then could've never (NEVER) built a tower to heaven. He would have just sat back and laughed. But then again, it's just a fairy tale.

genesis has a lot of beautiful mythologies. why don't you make fun of myths from another religion? like the ancient greek hercules myth or the legend of troy and achilies (troy itself did exist). just because somethin isn't history doesnt make it bullshit, it makes it a peice of mythology to study.

I'm wondering why every culture doesn't have the exact same creation story, history etc up to that point. has anyone read, for example the Japanese creation myths? nothing like the bible
