Listening to this years later, I its funny the statement says "in voluntary cooperation with the FCC". I remember not running one of these and the station getting fined. sounds mandatory to me.

@LuigiDude1808 thats called a noaa weather radio, and i dont know why you said staticy voice?
-
When I was little, these used to scare the piss out of me. They used to put them on all the time. Where I came from there was a man escorting a girl to a fallout shelter what ever that was supposed to be. And a creepy scary as hell weather bulletin picture used to be an evil looking cloud blowing the sun away.

@iwasfredfredburger67 I hate these SO MUCH.
It reminds me of this thing my parents had once where during a storm, it would make the noises and have a staticy voice come out and say "EMERGENCY" I had to go listen to it during a bad storm, at night, when I was terrified of going up or downstairs alone.

These scare the s**t out of me because they always pop up on me

This is EBS, EAS warnings are irritating.

Those EAS signals are really cool back at the day.
Nice. But it's totally the wrong logo! The audio is from 1981 when WPGC was still thee dominant Top 40 station in town, years before it went Urban. The voice talent on it is Dave Foxx who did middays and was the Production Director at the time. Today, he is at Z-100 / New York.
