Extraordinarily rare diamond. It happens to be the very first Octavia Diamond cut over 2ct and a perfect combination of clarity/color. The brightness, fire and sparkle in this diamond have to be seen to be believed.

  • A titan like Laurence Graff might pretend to be unimpressed, but he would be. And he'd want a 60 carat stone. Sure to generate "phosphenes" in sunlight (flashing spots of colors on the retina) OK to look at diamond, not straight at sun. I saw the Meteor cut round at Lili Diamonds site, it's distinctive and I see it muscling out its own niche among connoisseurs.

  • @skirts365 I'd like to see hard data on the Meteor cut if I am to comment. I'd particularly like to see an ASET analysis.

  • This is my favorite cut in the world.

  • The smallish table works well for this cut. Somebody sure understands mathematics and geometry. People with lavish amounts of surplus funds will always crave luxury goods and pay up for them. Worst part of diamond biz is the prospect of hold up. There was one in Japan where the crook killed female employees and set the store ablaze. He was hung for the crime. Have nots can't justify gains by theft. I knew store owners who had a smash and grab. The thugs fit the usual crime stats.

  • @DiamondInfoMan Wish I could help, I don't even own a "genuine quarter point diamond" like the hucksters used to promote to the hopeful broke who vaguely thought they'd be getting a "genuine quarter carat diamond," which is still not much size. Out of diamonds, into silver. Gem market puzzles--if extreme joblessness transpires, price could soften due to overhang supply selling; however, diamonds are portable wealth, and some want out of sagging dollars & into hard assets.

  • Its on my wish list! Fingers crossed.

  • Wow, I thought my Solasfera was pretty. I want one of these now.
