We are supposing that aliens or whoever found thi record will be able to listen it in the same way we do. Sound i heard due the atmosphere which is the mean in where acoustic waves propagates .... but, why the f**k the founding being should living on a planets provided with atmosphere with the same density and composition of ours? ....

If this probe were being sent out today the same music would be picked. The reason the music that was chosen, was because it had already shown it's ablity to stand the test of time. Does anybody here think that in a hundred or a thousand years our decendents are going to give a rats ass who Del the Funkee Homosexual was? I'm betting there will still be plenty of fans of Bach and Mozart though.

@pioughd87 I have nothing against the artist you listed, but i think they will be a pretty accurate, if not favorable view of your likes, not that of human culture. In fact whatever your spending on your probe will be a steal at twice the price when you consider it will wake Carl Sagan from his grave to seek vengence apon you for your short sighted selections.
