@unassumption At one point I thought that Shawn was becoming open to persuasion, but am now more certain that he's a lost cause... still, you never know what's round the corner!

Well spoken, despite the fact that a cute cat was trying to steal the show ;-) ... i'd like to point out that no, VFX does not understand (or at least won't admit to understanding) the definition of "atheism" - to him, atheism itself is a belief system, and one must trust in the idea of it on faith. And i think it's safe to say that he is not trying to find out if the bible is true - he's certain of that, and he wants you to be certain of it as well.

I think you're right, VFX is very focused on supporting his conclusions as well as not really listening to anyone with a different point of view. At the same time I can see how folk who are young and/ or niave could easily be taken in by his arguments. When I was his age (with a decades' less life experience) I could imagine finding someone like him quite convincing. We need to continue commenting about and correcting him - publicly!
