I give you props for not blindly following whatever was conditioned to you, I just believe that, for me, my higher power doesn't need a certain certified person to tell me what it/he/she believe and wants me to do. I know my higher power is loving and that it/she/he speaks to me through other people/places/things.
Stay true to what you believe in and don't be afraid to call contradictions out.
