Roller delayed blowback IS semiautomatic, it's just a type of blowback. Roller delayed blowback operation differs from rollerlocked recoil operation as seen in the MG 42. Unlike the MG 42, in rollerdelayed blowback the barrel is fixed and doesn't recoil. As the bolt head is driven rearward, rollers on the sides of the bolt are driven inward against a tapered bolt carrier extension. This forces the bolt carrier rearward at a much greater velocity and delays movement of the bolt head.

@TheDoorIsMadeOfSoup Um yes it is, Trust me I'm not one of these little kids on here that thinks they know about weapons just because they play a video game. And the M40 series sniper rifle was one of the most popular sniper rifles to date. It's been mainly used in the military since the vietnam war and is still used today among more than any other rifle on the market because of its reliability, and accuracy. Not only does the military use it a lot of law enforement use it as well.
