  • White Belt/8 mo. While I can see the reason for a lot of these movement drills, some of them escape me. What is the purpose of the rolls at 2:01, 2:13, 2:14 and 2:30? just for flow and getting comfortable rolling across the shoulders?

    Thanks.

  • @optimisto I'm guessing Inverted Guard, e.g. Ryan Hall. I was just talking to someone about this, about all the applications of inverting: escaping knee-on-belly side-mount, and mount, guard retention, stacking counter, securing 50/50 position, etc...

  • I love it when people leave silly messages as if they knew what they were talking about.

"Those who don't know will talk.

    Those who know are humble".

  • Great video. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is an excellent partner drills video.

It's important to note that there are solo drill variations that can be performed on pretty much all these partner drills and that these are more convenient to learn as you can perform them without the necessity of having a partner around to practice them.

It is useful to practice drills with a partner, just that being able to practice them when you're alone is very practical.

Of course, sparring with a partner is the best BJJ training to improve
