Pretty good jazz/blues. Included in Muggsy Spaniers band are Miff Mole, Eddie Condon, Pee Wee Russell, and George Wettling. Recorded in 1944 on a 12 inch 78 rpm record. Enjoy!

  • Pee Wee at his best. He manages to turn the gobstick into quite another instrument. Most creative clarinetist ever.

  • This is my favourite Muggsy track. The Pee Wee Russel clarinet is so beautiful

  • Melancholy is what I feel when hearing this - I had this 78 in the late 1980's.

Did the dumb thing of leaving it on top of an open Hi-Fi console - cousin came along, slammed the lid and SNAP, one record was two. :(
