These schools are independently owned franchises.Just like any business they want to make an income. They are a scam but work around it legally.They specifically tell you that they are not an agency or guarantee you work, but they make it seem like they are. Fake casting calls, movie directors or agents who stop by, The agents/sales people only sell the classes.if u got the money, go ahead and pay them. but a real agency works with you for free

guys give it a break I dont think its a scam now I havent been to it YET but what I have heard of it doesnt sound like a scam sure it might cost alot of money but thats life its what happens you will soon be paying the bills so stop saying its a scam I would like it if everyone who said that went to JRP again and asked whats going on now they probly changed prices just think about it.

Oh sweetie, now you're outright lying! JRP is NOT regulated by the government, their teachers do NOT need ANY kind of licence, and JRP managers/ sales people like yourself do NOT need a degree.

You obviously don't like my posts. What part of what I say do you object to - the "parents need to do their own research" part, or the "parents should not abdicate their responsibilities as parents just because their kids get stars in their eyes" part?

I googled many times of the so called John Robert Powers scam. Don't forget to check the comments at the bottom (or rebuttal) there are people who benefited from JRP that defend them.

If they are scam why are they still around. JRP is a regulated by the govt. and their teachers have to be licensed. People works for JRP school management should have bachelors degree. Let them have the choice. If they can't afford they don't have to give up. Go to community performing arts.

Tell me; if JRP and iPop is NOT a scam, then why do they ask you for your family income when you sign? Why do none of the big "names" they advertise ever show up at a JRP event? Why has no one heard of the "agents" who show up at iPop? Why is it that not a single iPop performer has ever gotten a principal role EVER? Why is JRP being investigated across the country?
