Weekly Address: New START Treaty "Fundamental" to Security

The President says ratifying the New START, a pivotal treaty with Russia on nuclear weapons, must happen this year. He explains that failure to ratify the treaty this year would not only mean losing our nuclear inspectors in Russia, but also undermine the international coalition pressuring Iran, put at risk the transit routes used to equip our troops in Afghanistan, and undo decades American leadership and bipartisanship on nuclear security.

This treaty is BIG and i think Russia or the U.S. r gunna start World War 3 sometime in the next couple years. Russia will probably start it because Vladimir Putin is a Totalitarian Dictator & reminds me of Stalin & Hitler, i believe he just hasn't showed his evil yet but it will come. Why is our government wasting time getting some important bills passed, before the repubs take over?? We still need to tackle Immigration Reform, giving our undocumented immigrants legal status! And... the all important Police and Firefighters Monopoly Bargaining Bill (S. 3194) passed. Tell me Mr. President, what are we waiting for?? Millions of Americans are wanting this done, because we know the repubs are not going to do anything to move America forward!!
