I just found out that Carole Shelyne played the Metron in the early Star Trek episode "The Arena." The Metron appears in the silver outfit at the very end of the show, and it's possible that they dubbed in a man's voice. Look for it.

Love those Shangri-las, & Carole Shelyne (now Carolyne Barry) was always my favorite Shindig dancer, but I didn't realize that she was an actress & a singer. She's still in the biz working as a casting teacher/director & writer, etc.

Were The Sangri-Las from Philladelphia?

I had such a huge teenage crush on Carole Shelyne. There was just something about her, the cute face, wiggly-jiggly dance style, pert blonde hair, and of course those glasses. Carole was ahead of her time, the precursor of the quintessential Cute Geek Girl.

Ian would have worked great in the Village People. Funny how the image of a "bad boy" has changed over the years.
