  • It hasn't changed a bit. It's a nice stage, but when they built the theatre 200 odd years ago, they sure didn't have a clue about how a theatre is built! One can't even cross from left to right behind the backdrop, one has to exit, run round the front of the theatre through the foyer and enter on the other side - awful! The dressing rooms are tiny and there is no cantine or anything for the performers. But the stage itself is nice.

  • You can cross in the back, depending which backdrop is used. Yes, it's tiny, but more dressing rooms have been added on the 4th floor. Still extremely crowded when you're putting on a show with 150 ballet students & guest artists! There's a pseudo-canteen in the foyer, which is also open when there are no performances going on, & they serve hot meals. In a few years, a "Salle Modulable" will be built in Lucerne and should provide tons of space for larger and more innovative theater productions.

  • There is some fun back stage, too:)))))Was a great time!

  • Well, when I was performing there, admittedly 10 years or more ago, it was impossible to cross in the back, and yes, we all sat around in the Foyer and drank and smoked and ate and chattered and the Direktion etc. got angry because we were always too loud and they - the audience - could hear us talking and laughing.

  • I decided to take jazz ;]
