Sandinyourshoes, you are soooo right on this! It is so incomprehensible to me that this major television event that ushered in the great "mini-series" craze of the 1970's has yet to be released on DVD or for that matter even rebroadcast of over 16 years! This was Nick Nolte's debut and Peter Strauss' starring role! What really gets to me is that both "Roots" & "The Thorn Birds" have aleady come out on DVD & been repeated numerous times while Tom & Rudy Jordache have not. It's asinine!

I cannot believe this classic show has NEVER been officially released on DVD in this country! What the hell is taking so long? It has been 30 years since it first came out!  30 years! I am so sick and tired of waiting for its release! Get on with it!
