Ramp Ceremony for fallen Canadian Soldiers RSM Girouard and Cpl. Storm at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan.

The whole base stands still and all available soldiers - American, Dutch, British, Australian and Canadian - Line the tarmac in respect. Amazing sign of multinational respect.

  • My son ( a U.S Air Force Ssgt) just arrived in Kandahar today and I pray he returns safely. A veteran myself, I give thanks to the Canadian military who stand with us against those who would love to take away our freedoms. Thank you Canada!

  • God Bless Canada they went to help not conquer, they went to improve not occupy, they went for freedom and payed with thier lives.

  • @SCOTSDOC

Ils ont les yeux comme dla gélatine et une vieille sur un trône là-bas en Angleterre. On les appelle Angliches, parfois Rostbifs. Ils sont incapables d'accepter les autres cultures, incapable de se mélanger, ils sont des purs!

  • FInd out what's really happening in Afghanistan and watch the film WAGING PEACE: Canada in Afghanistan....you can order a copy on line....WAGING PEACE: Canada in Afghanistan is the only independent film to be made on the Canadian mission since the war began....really good film.

  • @derekby1 Right on. Honour and respect to you and your brothers in arms.

  • Never heard Amazing Grace when I was attending ramp ceremonies during two rotos in Kandahar....mostly songs I never heard before. I was a lowly civilian but was immensely honoured to stand with my military brothers and sisters in formation.
