Dragonball Z Super Collection Trunks ドラゴンボールZ トランクス

It's July! Seven Dragonballs, Seven Months, Volume 7. OK, not sure where i'm going with that...but here is my seventh review in my long running Super Collection review series: Vol. 7 Trunks!

It's only natural that a Trunks figure is included in the line-up of Super Collection figures (though the lack of villains is pretty weak). Trunks was a total badass upon his introduction. He came out of nowhere, had a huge sword, killed the villain behind practically the entire Dragonball universe by this point with one slice... All of this from probably the biggest pretty boy in the series.

Regardless, Bandai did this figure properly. This Trunks figure has possibly the most dead-on sculpt of any out there. The hair and facial expression are perfect (two things nobody else can seem to get right). From pretty much every angle this figure is perfect. This has to be the best likeness in the Super Collection line since Vol 1, Son Goku.

On the other hand...it had some flaws. For starters it had one of those stupid "model-kit" sword and sticker sets. Blerg. The figure itself has two fists, rendering the sword useless (though I wouldn't call this a complaint...more of an observation...check out Vol 8 for more details). The only paint flaw has to be the collar. The neck bleeds into the collar a bit on both sides.

This is the first Super Collection figure I bought. It's the one that got me hooked. I'm not too much of a fan of Trunks, but this figure is just great looking. It's definitely top-3 material. I recommend this figure!
