Actually I think our Universe is on the orbit of something with a bigger gravitational force, it's moving just like an orbiting planet ( or soup) and that's why it seems as expanding, The Scale might be even higher, unless.. is there a way to see the age of atoms or subatomic particles ?
You DON'T know it started with the Big Bang, because it's the Big Bang Theory not Theorem. 20 minutes ago in the same show some guys brought the Soup Theory and their evidence makes more sense than BBT.
What's the next dumb step for human science, the universe was started by a million fuzzy bunnies stomping on dark matter or whatever? big bang, big crush, dark matter, speed of light, curved space time, is all garbage and human voodoo :'D
That is an interesting theory. But I thought all energy/matter could not be created nor destroyed. So even in the beginning, the neutrons and atoms came from some energy source, thus returning to it yet again, just in a different state. I really dont think it will all just collapse after pulling apart. I think it will just become something else.
There is the case that after all these happen, the dark energy (which pushes things away) will change polarity, and when this happens, the opposite process will begin, so we will have the big crunch :)

@iZotair You'd rather just keep floating and expanding forever? At least the crush is dramatic :D

Jeez what a depressing conclusion. I prefer the big crunch theory, who went and ruined it?
