Jackals at Tollygunge Club, Kolkata, India.AVI

At night, the jackals would begin 'singing' - from just after sundown until about sunrise. They would do this almost every hour on the hour. Took a bit to figure out how to block out the sound at night so sleep was possible.

This video does not contain pictures of the jackals - it is just an audio track taken late at night - approximately 3:15am. Watch the video, not for the pictures, but for the sound of wild animals who inhabit space at a recognized golf club.

@Akashpagol They are actually jackals. The type of jackal is on the endangered list and these ones are protected by staying at the golf club. Others confirmed that they are jackals while we were staying at the Tollygunge Club. After seeing them in person, I can assure you that they are not foxes. :)

Good one! Btw... i think these aint jackals...but foxes. U can find many in the outskirts of the city during winter. Nice post although.
