Yes... I agree with much that has already been posted. 'Brings back some precious memories of days gone by. 'Bottom line...it'a all really about Jesus....and our relationship with Him.
The whole studio album which contains this song is very inspirational...and is (still) much appreciated....even after all of these years.

Love Kerry Livgren. Love AD. Beyond the Pale is one of my favorite songs ever. Can't believe people are yakking in the background while AD are performing. That shits me. I wld be soaking it up.

I love his voice. All of the AD albums were great. I wore out the tapes in my car back then.
Better than just about anything else at the time - Christian or secular.

His name is Michael Gleason, one of two singers who toured with Kansas in '82 and '83 (The other is Warren Ham), after both auditioning for the lead vocal spot when Steve Walsh left. As you can hear, both are awesome, and the chemistry Kerry's band, A.D., had was magic. Check out the band's album from 1985 called ART OF THE STATE. It represents a fully-realized band effort and remains one of my favorite albums ever.
