I thought it was time to buy my daughter her first rifle. She's 9, and a very responsible child. I also included my son in the gift because he will eventually be bequeathed the rifle when his sister outgrows it.

On top of that, it's made in the USA and even sold at Wal Mart

  • Jeeze I'm ten and me and my mom got a heavy 22. Cal for only 100.00 plus it had a clip.

  • @tehreviewer01 My Ruger 10/22 is a bit heavy for my children. Plus, I want them to start from the ground up.

  • lost my key

  • @snipeface123xyz I thought I did once, but I think you can get a set from the factory.

  • Just curious. Have you ever tried to defeat that cylindrical lock with a Bic pen tube? That seems to be a common method with bike locks.

  • @ytctma No, I haven't tried anything like that. Now you got me curious, though.

  • Yeah can u believe other places like big outdoor stores try to sell these for $150+

    Great deal for $99

Anyway I hope to see some small game hunting or target shooting video

  • my first rifle was pretty much the same im 22 but damn that thing is still pretty cool to me

  • @puppymew The first rifle I fired was a single load bolt action (Sorry, I don't know gun terms. It was bolt action and had no external or internal magazine), so that's that I mostly like now. I know that sounds silly, but I just love them. There's a certain appeal to them that semi-automatic and fully-automatic guns do not have. They are fun :)

  • I've seen some photos similar to the last on but I think the weapon was a full sized AK ^^

  • @puppymew I never did like most modern firearms. I am into 1900-1950 firearms. My fave weapon I have is the M1 Garand.

Don't worry, tons of kids are interested in firearms, almost none for the good reason, it's all M4 carbines, Ak-47's and some other guns that nobody ever heard of, I'm a bolt action/ lever action fan, and all my friends are like "Those guns suck they will get you killed in a war zone. Blah blah blah" well guns are not all made for killing :/

  • bequeathed I: lol

  • Your daughter is a lucky kid :)

  • awesome man! My 9yr old wants to get his first .22. He wants an AR chambered in .22 Thats not happening lol, I have been looking around and did not want to spend an arm and a leg on a .22 this looks like a very good option. Thanks for sharing :-)

  • my first gun was a cooey model 39 single shot 22. made in Cobourg Ontario. Good ol' Canada made wood and steel. Got it from my uncle, the thing is a good 50 years old and still shoots like a dream! This vid inspired me to take it out and fondle it lol. Nice picture at the end.
