    Thanks for posting the vidclip. Question: while I'm not a sensei, is it not "dangerous" to handle the bokken without a preconceived notion that the "blade" of the bokken is a razor sharp Katana? This fellow in the clip is handling the "blade" of the bokken (Katana) as if it were a stick. Literally and figuratively. End result: no fingers to wield the Katana with! Caution young samurai, caution. Peace.

    Sensei Kessler, a personal Uchi deshi of Saito sensei is performing a Jo kata, meaning a half length stick kata.

    That means that the weapon he is holding is the battle ready real one. For the Ken kata take a look at out Ken suburi documentation in the Akban-wiki.
