Bugatti Veyron engine sounds

Bugatti Veyron is revved for crowd at Symbolic Motors 2008 Spring Event. Problem is... Veyron won't allow engine to rev over 4000RPM unless transmission is in gear. Still sounds good.

They probably went W16 due to the smoothness and ease at which it could put out 1000hp. The W16 architecture is good for canceling out vibrations, especially when they're responsible for putting out 1000hp. Also, most of those super powerful cars that you see on the road aren't built to last the way the Veyron is (at least, supposedly).

yes, Koenigsegg CCX has a V8 engine and it has 860hp... from a V8 engine, lol, Bugatti has a W16, could put in it at least 1400hp... the special edition , Pure Sang or Hermes i think it has 1200hp... if i´m not wrong...

That´s true, it´ll be crazy. I´ve seen a six strainght M5 e34 with about 700bhp, so you could get a lot more from a 16 cylinder engine, but everything gets more complicated with that crazy power and you have to do all perfectly to have the perfect driving machine, so maybe Bugatti found 1001bhp(wich is a lot) enough for their car.

I think it's underpowered for a 16-cylinder car. I've seen V8's have 800 hps why can't this one have 1600hps?

Absolutely, a Murcielago has as much power as an Enzo, and costs 5 times less.
