Leoš Janáček - Mša Glagolskaja - Gospodi pomiluj

From the original version of Leoš Janáček's Mša Glagolskaja - Gospodi pomiluj (Kyrie). During rehersals for the first performance the musicians had difficulty with the 5/4 rhythm in this movement and Janacek was forced to modify it to 4/4. The version published after his death was this simplified version. There are some also other major differences in the Veruju and Svet which have now been restored, making this fascinating work even more astounding.

Thanks for the informative commentary and for posting this version. It is one of my favorite pieces by Janacek, though it is hard to choose, as his music is always so elemental and engaging.
