As I was singing this song, I had to think of my Dad who loved to be at the water with his ship. So I found some pictures of him and some others and put them together, as a tribute to my Dad, who died in 1996. I know you'are watching and enjoying Dad....

"THE WATER IS WIDE" I found here in many ways, mostly guitar.(see text below!) This time I only used BIAB, because I sing 3 voices and it was enough. I was playing with the words and melodies, and I liked it, although it has something in it of a "smartlap", as we would say in Dutch, I don't know the translation.
I hope you will like it, also the pictures. The picture of my father and me was made 3 weeks before his death.

This is an awesome tribute to your father!! I just lost my father last week and this tribute reminded me of him in many ways, he always had some sort of boat in which he could be on the Great Lakes!! and I was always with him. he is sailing the seas of heaven free from pain and suffering!!
